Horrible Blood Red Wine - a poem

And here is my poem. DO NOT STEAL IT ARRRRGHHHHH. THNX.

BISMILLAH.

“Oh that horrible blood red wine”

From a past life now forgotten

as my heart grew black and rotten

with a sinful essence clear as cotton

I felt myself no longer fine,

Bottle clutched, I stay there, sitting

recollecting thoughts, admitting,

there was no way out, no quitting,

the Massacre at Palestine,

So forever-I was not kidding’

I had no choice at my bidding

except to drink blood, fitting

my mouth full of that horrible blood red wine.

Suddenly, I began to recall a grand memory,

a vague remembrance I tried to hide cleverly-

But I am human, my mind burned and turned Emory

with a disaster where I was the mastermind.

It was a pitch-black night in April 1997

Boozed up from a party, I was coming home at eleven--

Having betrayed soberness, not thinking of heaven,

Or the future that would forever be malign.

I drove on, mad like a demon

Rappers on the radio, I heard them leanin’

Rode on, like their songs, but now I was even

Copying satanic design.

I checked my cell because I heard it ringing,

Far above, sat a perched raven singing

The drink, through my blood and soul, ran stinging.

I was now so far behind.

Suddenly a mass was coming my way,

I felt for the brakes, but pushed the pedal on the highway

Black birds enveloped the skyway

A car came rushing like the gushing of the Tyne.

On the vial’s skull logo, a grin was shaping

My soul grew still; my mouth lay gaping

From the collision, there was no escaping.

My God… I am a Frankenstein.

As the rats drew biting, the pendulum slashing

Darkness, frightening, “balderdashing”

Leafless trees, lightning flashing

How I wish I saw that scarlet sign,

In seconds, there was a crash that pulled me under

An echo of silence, a sound of thunder

For in that hiatus in time, I wonder

If I would make it out alive and fine.

As the twisted metal came thrashing

And the crumpled cars, grinding, smashing

I saw a teenage boy come crashing

Through the windshield and into mine.

Adding to the worst of my dismay

I heard the boy breathlessly say:

“I’m the preacher’s son. Don’t beg for forgiveness. Don’t cry.

But never sin again, for everyone one must die.

Whatever tomorrow brings, remember me, this is good bye.”

The lights turned off inside my mind.

I drove to the hospital, above flew a raven

The trees grew darker, the world had caved in

As the wretched beggars stood on the sidewalk wavin’

No smile came to this heart of mine.

The only one was on the skull of that horrible blood red wine.

Tears came down with the driver crying

I stood watching his son dying

A great sorrow I could not help denying

Started to flood my mind

I didn’t do much but muttered

Half-true words I tried, and stuttered

And nothing I did at all, I uttered

The evil and regretful line

“Oh that horrible blood red wine”

The father accosted the doctor after my decision

to cause a deadly car collision.

From the eye of X-ray vision

We knew his son had cracked his spine.

Under the boy’s skin, he wasted away

All because I had gone astray

This was to be his final day,

But how I wished it were mine

The man’s son died, he sat weeping

In my heart evil was seeping

I felt a guilty fire creeping

Somewhere far off in my mind

How I wish I never drank… that horrible blood red wine

Time flew by from past to present

Of a tower-lurker, a future peasant,

That was I-the effervescent

Man with the bottle of wine

And yet the blood and skull I hated

Became a drink of desire, jailed and jaded

Now I would love to be vindicated

Of that horrible blood red wine

I grabbed that bottle- of desire

Divulged the last of the useless fire

This addiction would now retire

When I smashed the drink of me, the liar, against this floor of mine

There was an ocean of blood, explosion of pieces

Among bits of glass, a skull now ceases

The World War inside me ended with a final thesis:

“‘Tis the end of that horrible blood red wine”

‘Oh how I saw it shine

That horrible blood red wine.’

The sun went setting,

a martian red wedding,

The final seed of sin was shredding

“Victory, at last”- that was my final line

‘Oh how I saw it shine!

That horrible blood red wine.’

Last week

I really wanted to post something last week but I didn't have time. It was so cool. Umm.... Oh yeah.

I tried out for Track (and didn't make it), read Halo: First Strike, played soccer, did a fundraiser, and volunteered at teh clinic. I felt really worth it. Alhamdullillah.

Now I'm reading the Great Gatsby. It's good, but got a lot of bad parts in it. It really shows the superficiality of modern American affluent lifestyle. Having parties all day is not my ind of life. I was watching Bend it like Beckham. The indian girl went clubbing with her friends. It didn't look fun at all. Ishhh. Boring!!!!!!

Why don't they just have halo parties or go sk8ing?

We're having another fundraiser for school. It's gonna be good.

I'm coming up

I used to be really passive. I don't mean it in the social way. Wait. yes, that way too. But I also mean passive in issues. I don't stand up for what's right. I'm a slacker. This is all about to change.

I don't want to be just another person. I want to be a leader. If the world will change tomorrow, it's because I'm part of it. We're discussing issues in U.S. Government class and I just keep hearing the same words. "Stay in Iraq. Bomb Iran!" What is this? What will the world be like? Are my kids going to be sent to concentration camps for their faith? I hope not. I've started to realize I have to stick up for Islam. We can't rely on religious leaders to do anything, because they are "Fanatics" or so they say. The world needs youth, American youth who are patriotic and at the same time, religious, and at the same time compassionate for the world.

Anyone who sees this, please tell your friends and family.

Here's the message:

  • Free Palestine.
  • Get troops out of Iraq.
  • Stop the war effort to Iran.
  • Learn about Islam.
  • Rememeber the Chechnian brothers who die defending Chechnya from the Russians. They're secret wars are still goin' on.
  • Live for PEACE!!!!

I hope the world changes for the better. Ameen.

here's a youtube video on poetry. The woman is muslim and she's talking about how bad the world is. What she's saying is the secret truth, listen to her.

A snow Day

It's like in those movies where the kid wakes up and he looks outside and what does he see: snow everywhere. So he goes crazy and truns on the radio and it says, "No school." Hooray! He jumps around, runs outside and yells yipee at the top of his lungs.

That's like today. well, kinda sorta. My dad woke me up around 6:00. He said, wake up. I was thinking it's kinda weird to wake up before 6:00. Why was he acting like that? So then I see him watching his World War2 movie. I thought, why would he watch that in the morining. And with pajamas on. So i flipped the channel while he said, there's school. At the bottom of the screen, it said, schools closed. He said, I said school was there, I didn't say if it was closed. Yeah. yeah. I thought that's lying, but school WAS closed and that was cool. Then I went to kohls and bought shirts for 1 dollar. One dollar, to the chinese guy who met russel peters is a lot, but to us it's nothing. I was happy I got something. When I went back home, I found out I missed the snowball fight, but that didn't matter. I threw some snowballs at the neighbors and then we went skating. I ollied a 3, but I couldn't kickflip. That's ashamed, but so was the 3. No runway... How can u explain that.

At the masjid, we read Qur'an and watched Peace Propoganda and the Promised land on youtube. There were so many technical difficulties. The person in charge of the laptop had an error on google and youtube, and we had visitors watching! What an impression. If you want to watch the clip urself, click the link up there.

Right now, I'm back home watching Bleach 113. I feel good, but life is still insecure. I want to build confidence in myself, but with a hustling bustling city, a bus to school, extra curriculars, and sharing my room, I don't always feel at peace. May Allah give me , hint hint and the Ummah, strength. I really need it. Make Do'a for me if u see this. Maybe I'll make doa' for u too.
Life can be content, but not always perfect. Sometimes, I wish it was...

For now. Alhamdullillah. This day rocked!

2 movies.

The good, the bad, and the ugly.

Well, here is a story about two movies, the good and the ugly.

Let's start with the good. A few days ago, I was up at 11;00 at night and my dad and brother were watching this movie. I got tired of studying so I checked out what they were watching. In the movie, there were these flowers that gave birth to identical human clones, meaning that these plants made people who look exactly like you, but they're humanoids and they kill you at nights. After that they become slaves to their government. Wow it was the scariest movie I had ever seen, aside House on the Haunted hill. This 1978 (Yes, I know that's old) movie's called Invasion of the Body Snatchers and it was scary. Even for being an old movie, it's scary. Here's what happened. There was this family. They're the typical American family. The dad was sleeping outside, when he heard some noise. He woke up to find 4 pods, or humanoids next to him. Freaked out, He got his ax and shashed the face of the one that looked like him. It was nasty. the showed the pod's face after he did it. After getting no help from the police, which are now bad guys, the family runs for their lives. The mom and dad go inside this building, but they're both stabbed by some star trek looking dude who said they'll turn into pods in 1 hour. The mom and dad beat him up and throw him in a freezer. To survive, they had to act like pods, but that fails when the mom sees a dog with a human's head and freaks out. Ahhhhh. That's freaky. Then the mom dies and becomes plastic-like. The dad runs away, almost scared to death, and he wants revenge. So he burned one pod factory. They chased after him, and he ran away. When he was far away from everyone, finally, he became a pod. The End. A freaky movie with a freaky ending. How freak is that?

So watch it and cry to yourself. I gaurentee you will.

Thy Last day

Is it just me, or does every break just go so fast? Summer went kinda fast, Thanksgiving went real fast, and now Chirstmas break... And for some reason, school days go so slow. It's like, if you're having fun, time flies. If you're bored to death studying, time goes very slowly.
Today is the last day of our break. Yes, I said it. Today is the last day. I can't believe it. it's been fun tho. I played soccer with my friends, watched Eragon with abooty, omar, yasir, and munir, watched alone in the dark (worst movie on earth), went over Surah Al Naba', watched youtube vids, went to the skatepark with Justin. So yeah, I had fun, but I don't know if i accomplished all my goals. Let's see, where's my goals list.. Hm. here it is.

Winter Break List
1. Memo 5 old surahs.
2. read 4 books.
3. SAT and ACT practice
4. film another mini vid for sk8ing
5. STAY ACTIVE DUH
6. try out for Track
7. Write on my echo... book
8. Make some Bibo Vids

That's it for right now.

Hmm. I didn't make another vid for sk8ing, but i got some clips. That's good. I wasn't active. I did memo 1 old surah. I did Sat practice. I had a track assessment. so that's cool. I didn't work on that novel, but i did make the children of the underground video. Yay! And I made some Bibo vids. So I'm good to go.

I really wished i could publish my work in a magazine, but I didn't. I'll try to do that really soon. there's a poem I have called : horrible blood red wine. You'll see this published some day. (Gosh Khalid, u must be dreaming. =) )

Eid Mubarak (This eid is al Adha, not Fitr)

Salam everyone. It's that time of year. Yeah, ya no. Eid Aladha. Eid Mubarak to everyone. Oh, What a great eid! We went to rafiq's house to watch arsenal vs. sheffeld u. Arsenal lost 1-0. lol. Everyone was mad. They were like, why did Arsenal. rather, how did arsenal lose? It was a suprise. That team usually does good and wouldn't lose, 'pecially to Whatever that noobish team is called. I mean, the only goal sheffeld scored was by circumstance. some dude had the ball, was running up to the goal, and the goalie goes up to him. Goes up to him? Why? Well, he did and all the dude had to do was kick and the ball went pass the goalie for an easy touchdown. But it was all good. I ate some delicious chicken pizza. *only 2 slices tho :(*

After that we left and went home. I ate some choco-raisins (raisins covered in chocolate) while my dad rented the mummy from the library. I got a kick outa thinking he rented such an old movie. Well, Abooty wanted to go watch eragon so we were like, al right, let's go. So my dad takes us to the masjid to pray Maghrib and soon after, like around 5:20, My bro and I hopped into the van and sped away to the theatres. i felt kinda out of place for not being there in almost a year. I never go anymore. My family doesn't like that place, but I do. Lucky for us, we came at the right time. from 5-6 pm, it was 3 bucks. how cheap is that. br. Nabil actually payed for all of us. Yasir, Munir, Abooty, Omar, and me, and br. Nabil, of course, sat like a few rows from front. the movie had already started but fortunately, we only missed 5 minutes of it. the egg didn't hatch yet. the movie was a blast. lots of bad guys getting wooped, a flying dragon, and a teenager with a sword... how col is that. It's sad that the old man, brom dies. I thought he'd live. There was also this emo dude who's an archer and he helps eragon. the emo kid's dumb tho. he's like a big filler.

The cool part was at the end. The evil emporer told his Shade, a person who has dark teleporting powers, to kill eragon. Eragon was in the land of the vardans, or rebels, and he prepared for battle. It was on. The shade rode on a dark magic demon with shark like teeth and smoke coming out of it. The fierce battle came as the eragon's dragon went head to head with the demon. The dragon almost died but eragon didn't let it happen. As the shade threw fireballs, eragon jumped and stabbed him in the heart. the battle was over. peace restored yay.

Eid Mubarak everyone!
